Kim & Hansel were married July 20, 2013 by Reverend Joe Ministries. They hired us through their wedding planner, which was a first for us, and which also taught us a few lessons that we will discuss in a later posting.

Their ceremony was a more traditional Christian script but kept short and sweet, with a scripture reading, unity candle ceremony and broom jumping. Note that we were not informed about the unity candle ceremony until we were at the venue, when we looked at the program and saw it listed. Reverend Joe created the wording on the spot and is similar to what I share with you on the next page (you must "Read More"!), though not exact.

K&H Wedding

GREETING
Dear friends and relatives, we are gathered here today, believing that God is with us as we celebrate the coming together in love of this woman and this man. We remember that marriage is a time when a growing love is made public, when two people share a mutual promise before God and before us. We join in prayerful support of them as they offer themselves to each other. We celebrate their joy, their love, and their expectations. We pray for them that the blessed presence of Jesus the Christ will be with them and help them to overcome any human weakness that may exist with his forgiveness and love.

GIVING AWAY OF THE BRIDE
Who gives this bride to marry this man?
Father answers  I do.  Father is seated.

READING OF SCRIPTURE
And words from our savior on marriage.
MATHEW CHAPTER 19:4
4And he answered and said to them, Have you not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall join to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh? 6Why they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.
Now as you join together in holy matrimony remember these words.

BROOM JUMPING

Unlike most of our other couples, we have not been able to obtain any photos of their ceremony other than the one posted above. We are saddened that we've not been able to get in touch with their wedding planner/photographer via her business contact information. Hopefully, we'll be able to get some photos eventually, because their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we'd love to share with you!

If you've come across this blog and decide to use our ceremony, let us know! Comments are extremely welcome and we invite you to "Like" our page on Facebook and share with everyone you know. We rely on social media and word of mouth to grow our business, so the more folks that are talking about us the better!
