Only the Best & Uniquely You

You've spent a lifetime dreaming about your wedding day, all the details perfected. Only the best for your day, including your officiant. I believe that your ceremony should reflect your individualities and your relationship with each other, not just a generic script. We pride ourselves on performing services that are warm and personable. All of our couples are involved in the creation of their ceremony, to make it uniquely theirs.
We bring charisma and professionalism to each ceremony we perform. Whether your wedding is casual or sophisticated, a week away or a year away, your officiant will perform a joyful, heart-felt and memorable ceremony that fits your style.
All of our officiants are licensed to perform marriages in Kansas and Missouri, and nearly all other states. If you are looking to get married in another state or at a destination location, please contact us directly, as each state and county has their own laws regarding who can legally perform a wedding. Our pricing includes 60 miles from downtown KCMO, however, we will travel anywhere for a small fee based on total mileage.
We offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation via email. This is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have for us and about our wedding services. After the consultation you decide whether you would like us to officiate your wedding.
Each ceremony package includes:
• Ceremony Editing – Whether you are opting for a custom written ceremony or choosing from one of my pre-written ones, you are involved in the editing process. For custom ceremonies, after the planning meeting, we will email you a draft of your ceremony. The two of you can sit down and edit your draft until it is the exact wedding ceremony you want. You then simply email your edited draft back to your officiant. With pre-written ceremonies, you will receive several to choose from and then you are free to edit as you choose, again, until it is the exact wedding ceremony you want.

• Wedding Day! – Your officiant will arrive about 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time in order to speak with the two of you, make sure that we have the marriage license as well as any supplies necessary for the ceremony, such as handfasting cords, unity candle, sand and vases, wine box and love letters, jumping broom, etc. Then he or she will check in with your DJ or venue coordinator, whomever is handling the sound system during the ceremony, get a microphone ready and do a sound check. Finally, your officiant will check with your vendors and see if there's anything last minute that we can assist with. We do allow photographers to take photos during our ceremonies, and give them as much artistic license as necessary, including standing behind us during the service. Believe it or not, some companies and officiants don’t! Your officiant will keep you calm, cool, and collected knowing that you are in capable hands and reminding you that you are about to wed your true love.
• Filing of the marriage license – Although the couple is responsible for securing the license prior to the wedding, your officiant will take care of completing your marriage license at the ceremony. We then file the license immediately following the ceremony with the county clerk’s office. Just one less thing for you to worry about!
For custom ceremony packages a planning meeting is also included:
• Planning Meeting – Your officiant will meet with you in person, to review the questionnaire you completed at time of booking. This gives all of us an opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level, and to design your ceremony! While we have all the basic details, an in-person meeting allows your officiant to see the two of you interact, learn about your relationship, and your individual personalities. We can help with special requests, with writing vows or provide pre-written vows to choose from. If additional follow-up is necessary it will be free of charge and can be done via email or telephone. Additional face-to-face meetings are available for an additional charge.

If you'd like to meet with your officiant prior to the wedding and a meeting is not included with your package, one can be arranged (additional charges apply):
Meet-and-Greet: A short 15 minute meeting with your officiant. This is to allow you to briefly chat and ensure that your personalities and your officiant's mesh well.
Planning Meeting: If you're opting for a standard ceremony script, but would like to meet with us to discuss specifics of the wedding itself, most useful if you're not quite sure how to plan out the processional, recessional, where everyone is standing etc. Whether you're planning to host a rehearsal or not, this is a great option if you'd like to consult someone with lots of experience
If you choose to have a rehearsal (additional charges apply):
• Rehearsal– We take great pride in guiding your rehearsal every step of the way. An hour is allowed for rehearsing and we'll go over every step and every detail of your ceremony, from processional to recessional. We'll work closely with your DJ, photographer and coordinator to make sure everyone knows the plan, and we'll make sure that what you want happens! We will even field questions and suggestions from your family, friends and bridal party at the rehearsal so you have less to worry about and you'll still have the ceremony that you want, not what everyone else feels you should have. Remember, this is your day, not theirs, but suggestions are always welcome.
